Why are IITs restricting 22 companies from campus hiring?

More than 150 job offers made to IIT students graduating in 2026 were not honoured, prompting the All IITs Placement Committee to restrict 22 companies from campus hiring for the next two placement seasons. The action follows failures to onboard students by the September 15 deadline. The committee will notify the companies about the decision by September 30. Oracle reportedly failed to honour around 40 offer.
