Time has come to realise Mahatma Gandhi's dream of disbanding Cong: Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath on Monday hit the campaign trail in poll-bound Gujarat and said the time has come to realise Mahatma Gandhi's dream of disbanding the Indian National Congress. Addressing a poll rally in Porbandar, the home town of the Father of the Nation, Yogi alleged the Congress would have usurped the funds meant for the treatment and vaccine during the coronavirus pandemic had it been in power. The elections for 182 Assembly seats in Gujarat will be held in two phases on December 1 and 5. The counting of votes will be taken up on December 8. "The BJP always keeps its promises, unlike Congress. Congress never stands with the people during crises. That is the reason Bapu (Mahatma Gandhi) had suggested that the party should be disbanded once India attains Independence," said Yogi, one of the star campaigners of BJP, while canvassing for the party candidate Babubhai Bokhiria. "The time has come to realise the dream of Bapu (of disbanding

Poor deprived of govt schemes benefits before 2017, says UP CM Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said the poor and underprivileged remained deprived of benefits of government schemes before 2017 and the previous governments in the state divided the society to salvage "lost political ground" and increase their vote bank. The BJP has been in power in Uttar Pradesh since 2017. Adityanath took oath as the chief minister for the second consecutive term after the party won the Assembly polls held earlier this year. "Their (previous governments) neglect reveals their real concern for the needy," Adityanath said at the 'Griha Pravesh' ceremony under the CM Awas Scheme where he distributed the first installment of flats to about 34,500 beneficiaries. "Before 2017, even ambitious schemes like the PMAY remained ineffective in the state... the previous governments only divided the society for vote bank politics and never cared to provide benefits to the weaker sections, the CM was quoted as saying in an official release. Don't waste your vote on Congress: Adityanath appeals to Himachal people

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Thursday appealed to Himachal Pradesh people not to "waste" their vote on the Congress, alleging had they been in power at Centre, India's borders would not have been secure and neither Article 370 scrapped nor Ram temple built in Ayodhya. The country would have missed the efficient management of the Covid crisis by the Narendra Modi government and crores of Indians would not have received free vaccines, he claimed at poll rallies in Kullu, Mandi and Una districts on the last day of campaigning. The Congress is seeking to wrest power from the BJP in Himachal Pradesh which goes to the polls on November 12. "Would the 'Har Ghar Nal' scheme be implemented in Himachal Pradesh? Would Congress be able to give free vaccines and free rations during Covid?... When the Congress could not do all this and neither take care of your health nor give good institutes of learning or set up AIIMS or IIT here... why waste votes on Congress," he ...

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurates ISKCON campus in Mathura

Stressing on the need to establish milk processing units at the tehsil level, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Wednesday asked the ISKCON administration to take the lead in the formation of "milk societies" in rural areas by associating women with them. "It will pave the way for increasing the income of cattle-owners," he said while inaugurating a dairy plant on the premises of the Bhakti Vedant Gurukul, the extension campus of ISKCON in the Ajhai area of Mathura. Though the state government is looking after nine lakh cows in the state, there is a need to improve their breed, he said. The Deen Dayal Veterinary university has been making efforts to improve the breed of the Indian cow, and the ISKCON administration can also take lead in this direction, Adityanath added. Earlier, he inaugurated a Krishna Balram temple in the Ajhai campus of ISKCON. He also paid obeisance at the Bhagwat Bhavan of Sri Krishna Janmasthan.
