Bajaj Auto July sales jump 44 pc in July, exports more than double

Bajaj Auto on Monday reported 44 per cent jump in its total sales at 3,69,116 units in July 2021. The company had sold 2,55,832 units in the same month a year ago. Domestic sales in July this year were at 1,67,273 units as against 1,58,976 units, up 5 per cent, Bajaj Auto said in a regulatory filing. Total motorcycle sales stood at 3,30,569 units, up 39 per cent, as compared to 2,38,556 units sold in July last year. Total commercial vehicle sales more than doubled to 38,547 units as against 17,276 units in the same month last year, the company said. Exports in July also more than doubled to 201,843 units as against 96,856 units sold in the corresponding month last year, it added.

Bajaj Auto reduces price of Dominar 250 by Rs 16,800 to Rs 154,176

Bajaj Auto on Tuesday said it has reduced price of Dominar 250 bike by Rs 16,800 to Rs 1,54,176 (ex-showroom Delhi). The newly announced price on Dominar 250 is expected to grow the franchise further by encouraging customers to take their first step into the world of touring, the Pune-based company said in a statement. The Dominar 250 comes with a 248.8 cc petrol engine. Okaya Group's EV division forays into electric two-wheeler business

Energy storage solutions provider Okaya Group's EV arm on Monday announced its entry into the electric two-wheeler business with the launch of a range of vehicles. Besides, the company -- which already has set up a two-wheeler manufacturing plant in Baddi (HP) and plans to start another facility in Haryana -- also announced three more plants to be launched in Neemrana (Rajasthan) by 2023-25, a release said. Launched in two variants, AvionIQ series and ClassIQ series, the Okaya EV two-wheelers are equipped with all the required technologies to manage the increasing volatility of Indian power conditions, it added. With prices ranging from Rs 39,999 to Rs 60,000, the e-two-wheelers are available all across the country, the release said. Bajaj Auto reports 24% jump in total sales at 346,136 units in June

Bajaj Auto on Thursday reported 24 per jump in its total sales at 3,46,136 units in June 2021. The company had sold 2,78,097 units in the same month a year ago. Domestic sales in June this year were at 1,61,836 units as against 1,51,189 units, up 7 per cent, Bajaj Auto said in a regulatory filing. Total motorcycle sales stood at 3,10,578 units, an increase of 22 per cent, as compared to 2,55,122 units sold in June last year. Total commercial vehicle sales were at 35,558 units as against 22,975 units in the same month last year, up 55 per cent, the company said. Exports in June jumped 45 per cent to 1,84,300 units as against 1,26,908 units in the corresponding month last year, it added.

Piaggio Vehicles on Thursday announced the reopening of its two-wheeler dealerships across India, which had shut operations due to a massive increase in the coronavirus infection cases between April and mid-May across the country.
