The TVS Industrial and Logistics Park (ILP) has drawn up plans to strengthen footprint in 30 more cities by 2027, a top official said on Saturday. The company currently has presence in 11 locations across the country. The TVS ILP would be investing about Rs 1,500 crore under its expansion drive, chief operating officer R Manikandan told reporters. As part of is expansion plans, he said five of the warehouses would be in Tamil Nadu including one in Coimbatore. The company was working on various projects in Vijayawada, Vishakapatnam, Guwahati, Siliguri, Ranchi and Raipur among others. The plan is to have a warehousing solution in every 400 km across the country, he said. With 35 per cent year on year growth, the company aims to reach a contracted revenue of USD 750 million, he said. TVS Motor Company on Wednesday said its vehicle sales grew 3 per cent in the domestic market at 2,75,115 units in January. The company posted its vehicle sales at 2,66,788 units in the year-ago period. Its total two-wheeler sales registered a growth of 4 per cent at 2,64,710 units in January from 2,54,139 units last year, aided by a 29 per cent growth in the domestic two-wheeler sales, which stood at 2,16,471 units in the reporting month, the company said in a statement. In the two-wheeler sales, motorcycle sales volume dropped 12 per cent at 1,21,042 units in the previous month as against 1,37,630 units in 2022. Scooter sales, however, was up 32 per cent at 1,06,537 units during the month under review from 80,580 units last year, TVS said. The electric scooter iQube recorded its highest-ever sales of 12,169 units last month as against sales of 1,529 units in January 2022, according to the company. TVS Supply Chain Solutions on Wednesday said it has secured a fresh five-year contract from UK-based Dennis Eagle for aftermarket services. Dennis Eagle manufactures vehicles for the collection of waste and its transportation to a waste disposal site. Through the extension of the contract, TVS Supply Chain Solutions' UK division will continue to add value in their aftermarket service and supply of spare parts to Dennis Eagle.
