The Odisha government has set a target to attract Rs 20000 crore new investments by 2021 in the tourism sector.Tourism sector is one of the six focus sectors for attracting new investment identified by the Odisha government.Similarly, the state government has set a target of 23.84 million tourist arrivals and creation of 2500 star category hotel rooms by 2021.More than 12 million tourists visit Odisha every year and the number of growing by nine to 10 per cent annually.Similarly, the state aims to create 0.2 million job, set up five convention centers and establish direct flight connectivity with five international destinations.
