Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd (TPSSL) has bagged a 300 MW project worth Rs 1,755 crore from state-owned NLC Ltd. The company will also do the operation and maintenance of the project for 3 years after the commercial operation declaration. The 300 MW Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) based project located at Barsingar in Bikaner, Rajasthan, is expected to generate more than 750 million units renewable energy and reduce 6 lakh tonne of CO2 annually, a statement said. The Letter of Award (LoA) for the project was given through competitive bidding. The project will get commissioned within 18 months from the date of receiving of LoA, it said. TPSSL will handle the complete project execution from designing to commissioning and the evacuation system up to delivery point. The company's total order book stands at about Rs 17,000 crore. Tata Power Solar Systems on Wednesday announced the launch of cost-efficient solar off-grid solutions in West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand. Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd (TPSSL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL). The off-grid solutions provide a combination of high-efficient solar modules, inverters and batteries and are available in 11 variants ranging from 1 - 10 Kw with 5-year warranty, a company statement said. The solutions offered by the company are engineered to provide an efficient integrated power system to consumers for their power backup requirements in times of grid supply shortages. Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd (TPSSL) has received a letter of award worth Rs 596 crore from NHDC to set up a 125MWp floating solar project in Madhya Pradesh. NHDC is a joint venture of state-owned hydro power giant NHPC and the Madhya Pradesh government, a statement by Tata Power Company Ltd said on Wednesday. NHDC had invited bids early this year for this project to be set up at the Omkareshwar reservoir in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. The LoA was awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project will be commissioned within 13 months from the date of issuance of the letter of award (LoA) and will provide sustainable power to MP Power Management Company. With this win, the company's total utility-scale solar project portfolio touches 9.8 GWp. As on date, TPSSL's total order book stands at Rs 14,908 crore. TPSSL, a solar EPC company, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL). Tata Power holds 93.94 per cent stake in TPREL.

State-owned SJVN Ltd on Thursday inked a pact with Tata Power Solar Systems to build a 1,000 MW solar project worth Rs 5,500 crore in Bikaner, Rajasthan. "SJVN today entered into an EPC agreement for 1,000 MW solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan with M/s Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd," a company statement said. The contract agreement was signed in the presence of Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN by Chief General Manager (ECD), SJVN S K Sood, and Vepul Jain, Chief - Business Development, Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd. Sharma said this Rs 5,500 crore-EPC contract is the country's biggest solar contract awarded till date. Tata Power Solar Systems on Thursday said it has won India's largest solar engineering procurement and construction (EPC) order for 1 GW project worth Rs 5,500 crore from state-owned SJVN Ltd. According to a company statement, this EPC order has been designed keeping in mind the innovative use of Make in India' cells and modules. The project will be developed under the CPSU (central public sector undertaking) scheme of Ministry of New & Renewable Energy and will be completed within 24 months. Tata Power Solar Systems has been awarded a project to build a solar PV plant with 50MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Leh, Ladakh. The 50MW solar PV plant will be built on EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) mode. According to a statement by Tata Power, the order value of the project is Rs 386 crore. The commercial operation is expected to start from March 2023. This will be India's first co-located large scale BESS solution as well as first large scale solar PV project in the Union Territory of Ladakh to be set up at a high altitude of 3,600 meters above sea level, it stated.
