Tendulkar discharged from hospital; to continue Covid recovery at home

Former India captain and batting icon Sachin Tendulkar, who was hospitalised as a precautionary measure after testing positive for COVID-19, was on Thursday discharged and is now recuperating in home isolation here. The former player, who will turn 48 later this month, posted a statement on Twitter to confirm the development. "I have just come home from the hospital and will remain isolated while continuing to rest and recuperate. I would like to thank everyone for all the good wishes and prayers. Really appreciate it," Tendulkar said. Tendulkar also thanked the medical staff for taking care of him during the hospitalisation. "I remain ever grateful to all the medical staff who took such good care of me & have been working tirelessly for over a year in such difficult circumstances," said Tendulkar. Tendulkar was hospitalised on April 2 as a precautionary measure after testing positive for the dreaded virus on March 27. However all his other family members have tested negative. T

Down with Covid-19, Sachin Tendulkar hospitalised as precautionary measure

Former India captain and batting icon Sachin Tendulkar has been hospitalised as a precautionary measure, six days after he tested positive for COVID-19. The 47-year-old took to twitter to announce the development on Friday. "Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone," Tendulkar wrote. Tendulkar had tested positive for the dreaded infection on March 27 and was in home isolation ever since. The batting great, who was part of India's historic World Cup win in 2011, also wished his teammates on the 10th anniversary of the victory. Sachin Tendulkar tests positive for Covid-19, in home isolation

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in home isolation, according to sources close to the family. Tendulkar is one of the biggest names to have tested positive for the virus in recent times. "Sachin has got himself tested and the report has come out positive. He has isolated himself and is following all the necessary protocols," a source close to family told PTI on Saturday. The COVID-19 cases have been on a surge in Maharashtra and Mumbai with over 36,000 positive cases recorded on Friday. Tendulkar recently took part in the Road Safety World Series Challenge veteran's tournament in Raipur.
