The BJP in Rajasthan will observe the fourth anniversary of the Congress government on December 17 as 'Black Day' and hold demonstrations in the state's 200 assembly constituencies and district headquarters from next month. The state unit of the BJP has also planned a state-level protest and 'jan aakrosh rally' here in December. The party will hold protests against the state government in November and December, BJP's national general secretary and Rajasthan in-charge Arun Singh said. It will also issue a "black paper" against the alleged failures of the government in its four-year rule. Another BJP leader said that the party has set a target of two to three lakh people for the 'jan aakrosh rally' for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and other central ministers will be invited.
The government proposes to develop tourist accommodation facilities including home stay, drinking water, safety, internet connectivity, and caravan parks in partnership with private players.

The Supreme Court on Monday rapped the Rajasthan government over its "unsatisfactory" affidavit enumerating steps on payment of ex-gratia to family members of those who died of COVID-19, and said it was not doing any charity. A bench of Justices M R Shah and Krishna Murari directed the state government to file a detailed affidavit in the matter. "Earlier also you had made an assurance. State of Rajasthan is not doing any charity. There is a direction issued by this court and persons affected by COVID-19 should be treated with sympathy. "Affidavit filed by the Rajasthan government is not satisfactory at all. The counsel prays for time to put a detailed affidavit. Put up on Friday," the bench said. In view of the festive season, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday directed officials to run a special campaign to check adulteration of food items, especially sweets, milk products, edible oils and flour. In a meeting at the Chief Minister's residence here, he also said that the food and supplies department, medical department and food safety department should work with better coordination to ensure people get pure products. During the special campaign, priority should be given to testing of milk, mawa, paneer, sweets as well as flour, gram flour, edible oils, ghee, dry fruits and spices, he said. The state government will take strict action against those who play with the health of people adulterating food items, the chief minister warned. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday said his government would try to ensure that at least 50 per cent of the total investment committed in the Invest Rajasthan Summit is implemented. He said usually around 25 per cent of MoUs signed in such summits held in various states reach the implementation stage. As many as 4,192 MoUs/LOIs totalling Rs 10.44 lakh crore have been signed during roadshows at international, national and state levels from November 2021 to September 2022 before the summit, which was held on October 7 and 8 at Jaipur. Gehlot said the state government changed its policy this time and got the agreements signed before the summit. "Such events are held in several states and only 15, 20 or 25 per cent (of the total committed investment) comes as the actual investment. We have signed agreements worth around Rs 11 lakh crore. Tata Power on Friday announced its plans to develop around 10,000 MW of renewable energy capacity, mainly solar energy, in the next five years in Rajasthan. "Tata Power plans to have a renewable power portfolio of 10,000 MW in the state (Rajasthan in next five years," a company statement said. Participating in the ongoing Invest Rajasthan summit in Jaipur, it stated that it plans to develop up to 8,000 MW of utility scale projects, 1,000 MW of solar rooftop and 1,50,000 solar pumps in next five years in the state. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday inaugurated a 2.8-km-long elevated road in Jaipur city, officials said. Earlier known as Sodala elevated road, it was renamed 'Bharat Jodo Setu' by the chief minister, they said. The rechristening comes amid the Congress' ongoing 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'. The road has been built at a cost of Rs 250 crore and will facilitate hassle-free traffic movement on the stretch between the LIC building near Ambedkar circle and Ajmer road, they said. In a major administrative reshuffle, 201 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers were transferred in the state on Wednesday. The department of personnel issued the transfer list which included several sub divisional officers.
