Piramal Pharma posts Q2 net loss of Rs 37 cr, revenue grows to Rs 1,720 cr

Piramal Pharma on Wednesday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 37 crore for the second quarter ended September, as against a net profit of Rs 37 crore in the year-ago period. However, the company's revenue from operations grew to Rs 1,720 crore during the July-September quarter, from Rs 1,578 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. Narayana Hrudayalaya Q2 PAT surges 71% to Rs 169 cr on robust performance

Narayana Hrudayalaya on Wednesday reported a 71 per cent increase in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 169 crore for the second quarter ended September 2022, riding on the back of robust performance across units. The healthcare provider had posted a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 99 crore in the July-September period of the previous fiscal. Consolidated total operating income stood at Rs 1,142 crore in the September quarter, as against Rs 941 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, Narayana Hrudayalaya said in a statement. Bayer Cropscience Q2 net up 5.51% to Rs 163 cr, income rises to Rs 1,451 cr

Bayer Cropscience Ltd on Wednesday posted a 5.51 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 162.6 crore in the September quarter. The company had a net profit of Rs 154.1 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, according to a regulatory filing. Total income increased to Rs 1,451.9 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 1,365.1 crore in the year-ago period. Bayer Cropscience said it concluded the sale of a part of its seeds distribution portfolio consisting of mustard, millet, cotton and sorghum seeds during the third quarter of the 2021-22 fiscal. "Considering this, the portfolio adjusted revenue from operations grew by 8 per cent for Q2 and 14 per cent for H1 of the 2022-23 fiscal, respectively," the company said. Prestige Estates Q2 net up 80% to Rs 141 cr, income rises to Rs 1,474 cr

Realty firm Prestige Estates Projects Ltd on Wednesday reported an 80 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 140.7 crore in the September quarter of this fiscal year. Its net profit stood at Rs 78.3 crore in the year-ago period, Prestige Estates Projects said in a regulatory filling. Total income rose to Rs 1,474.7 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal year from Rs 1,345.2 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Prestige Estate is one of the leading real estate firms in the country. Prestige Estates Projects Ltd's sales bookings rose 66 per cent year-on-year to Rs 3,511 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal on higher demand despite a rise in home loan interest rates. Lupin posts net profit of Rs 130 cr in Q2, revenue rises to Rs 4,145 cr

Drug maker Lupin on Wednesday said its consolidated net profit stood at Rs 130 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2022. The Mumbai-based company had reported a net loss of Rs 2,098 crore in the July-September period of the previous fiscal. Total revenue from operations rose to Rs 4,145 crore for the period under review as compared to Rs 4,091 crore in the year-ago period, Lupin Ltd said in a regulatory filing. The company said it paid Rs 1,878 crore towards litigation and settlement related expenses last year with respect to antitrust class action filed in the US in connection with the drug Glumetza. NDTV Sept quarter profit rises 14% to Rs 13 cr, revenue up 16% to Rs 105 cr

Media firm New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) on Wednesday reported an increase of 4.4 per cent in consolidated net profit to Rs 13.03 crore for the second quarter ended September. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 12.48 crore during the July-September quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing. Its revenue from operations increased 16 per cent to Rs 105.80 crore during the quarter under review. In the year-ago period, the same stood at Rs 91.21 crore. NDTV's total income in the September quarter was at Rs 107.66 crore, up 9.87 per cent. This is the 12th consecutive profitable quarter for the NDTV Group, the company said in its earnings statement. Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Q2 net profit up 23% to Rs 285 cr

Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (GSFCL) on Wednesday posted a 23.33 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 285.27 crore for the second quarter of the 2022-23 fiscal. The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 231.29 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, according to a regulatory filing. Total income remained lower on a consolidated basis at Rs 2,560.16 crore in the July-September quarter of the current fiscal, compared to Rs 2,596.10 crore in the year-ago period. Expenses fell to Rs 2,145.64 crore from Rs 2,248.82 crore earlier. The consolidated Q2 results include performance of subsidiaries GSFC Agrotech Ltd, Vadodara Jal Sanchay Pvt Ltd, Gujarat Port and Logistics Company Ltd as well as associate companies such as Gujarat Green Revolution Company Ltd, Vadodara Enviro Channel Ltd and Karnalyte Resources lnc. Pidilite Q2 net profit dips 10% to Rs 338 cr; sales up 14% to Rs 3,011 cr

Pidilite Industries on Wednesday reported a decline of 10.06 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs 337.75 crore for the second quarter of FY23 on account of raw material inflation and high-priced inventory. The company, which manufactures adhesives, sealants and construction chemicals, had logged a profit of Rs 375.53 crore in the July-September quarter a year ago. Revenue from operations was up 14.65 per cent at Rs 3,011.15 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 2,626.35 crore in the year-ago period, Pidilite Industries said in a regulatory filing. "Margins continue to be impacted owing to raw material inflation, a weaker currency and high-priced inventory. Selective pricing action along with mix enrichment helped to maintain gross margins sequentially," said Pidilite in an earnings statement. Control in costs below gross margin enabled to maintain EBITDA margin at the same level as previous quarters, it added. Pidilite's total expenses were at Rs 2,586.60 crore,

IFCI posts Rs 209 cr Q2 profit, interest income declines to Rs 110 cr

Term lender IFCI on Wednesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 209 crore for September quarter 2022-23. The company had incurred a net loss of Rs 445 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Total income increased to Rs 425 crore in July-September 2022-23 from Rs 373 crore in the same quarter of previous financial year, IFCI said in a regulatory filing. Interest income decline to Rs 110 crore during the quarter from Rs 142 crore a year ago. On standalone basis, IFCI earned a profit of Rs 110 crore during the quarter as compared to Rs 526 crore earlier. Total income of the company rose to Rs 126 crore from Rs 106 crore. The company received Rs 100 crore on September 17, 2022 from the Centre towards subscription to the share capital as share application money, it said.

Shriram Life Insurance Company posts net profit of Rs 75 crore in H1FY23

South-based Shriram Life Insurance Company (SLIC) on Wednesday reported a net profit of Rs 75 crore for the first half of the current financial year. It had posted a net loss of Rs 45.8 crore in the April-September period of the previous fiscal. Total new business of the insurer during April-September 2022-23 rose to Rs 457 crore as against Rs 372 crore in the same period of 2021-22, it said in a release. Gross premium in H1 FY23 increased to Rs 969 crore from Rs 850 crore earlier. The company's assets under management grew by 21 per cent to Rs 8,149 crore as of September 30, 2022. Sundram Fasteners Q2 net dips to Rs 111 cr, income grows to Rs 1,225 cr

Auto-components manufacturer Sundram Fasteners Ltd has reported a standalone profit of Rs 111.75 crore for the July-September 2022 quarter, according to the Chennai-based company on Wednesday. Its standalone profit was Rs 120.16 crore during the corresponding quarter last year. For the half-year ending September 30, 2022, the standalone profit went up to Rs 241.86 crore from Rs 232.71 crore last year. The total income grew to Rs 1,225.85 crore from Rs 1,064.29 crore. For the six-month period ending September 30, 2022, the income stood at Rs 2,472.07 crore against Rs 2,012.64 crore. The domestic sale during the quarter under review was Rs 802.45 crore against Rs 663.26 crore last year. Exports were Rs 377.78 crore against Rs 362.81 crore. Gateway Distriparks Q2 PAT up 27% to Rs 60 cr, revenue rises to Rs 361 cr

Integrated inter-modal logistics operator Gateway Distriparks Ltd on Wednesday reported a 27 per cent growth in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 59.53 crore for the second quarter of this fiscal. The company had posted a consolidated PAT of Rs 46.90 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2021, Gateway Distriparks Ltd (GDL) said in a statement. Its total revenue (Rail and Container Freight Stations) rose 6 per cent to Rs 361.91 crore in the reporting quarter as against Rs 341.50 crore in the second quarter of the previous fiscal. Rail revenue increased 8.61 per cent to Rs 278.53 crore in Q2 FY23 over Rs 256.46 crore in the year-ago period, while Container Freight Stations (CFS) revenue declined 1.95 per cent to Rs 83.38 crore. Dhanlaxmi Bank Q2 profit jumps to Rs 16 cr on lower bad loan provisions

Dhanlaxmi Bank on Wednesday reported a multi-fold rise in net profit at Rs 15.89 crore for September quarter 2022-23 on lower provisions for bad loans. The bank had clocked a net profit of Rs 3.66 crore in the year-ago period. In the previous June quarter, the bank incurred a net loss of Rs 26.43 crore. Total income increased to Rs 285.26 crore in September quarter from Rs 266.79 crore earlier, Dhanlaxmi Bank said in a regulatory filing. Interest income rose to Rs 262.50 crore from Rs 229.01 crore. Operating profit was up 35 per cent at Rs 35.35 crore. Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) of the bank were 6.04 per cent of gross advances at the end of September 2022 as against 8.67 per cent by the year-ago period. Net NPAs or bad loans were trimmed to 2.32 per cent from 4.92 per cent. FMCG firm Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd on Wednesday reported a decline of 31.93 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 31.65 crore for the second quarter ended September. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 46.50 crore in the July-September quarter a year ago, said Bajaj Consumer Care, part of the Bajaj Group of Companies, operating in the beauty care category. Its total revenue from operations rose 8 per cent to Rs 232.45 crore during the period under review. It was Rs 216.17 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal, according to a regulatory filing. Total expenses of Bajaj Consumer Care, which owns brands such as Almond Drops Hair Oil, Brahmi Amla and Nomark, in the September quarter climbed 20.08 per cent to Rs 203.96 crore.
