Nissan Motor India on Monday reported a 28 per cent rise in total wholesales at 8,991 units in December 2022. The company had sold a total of 7,026 units in the same month a year ago, Nissan Motor India said in a statement. Domestic sales were down 32.89 per cent last month at 2,020 units as compared to 3,010 units in December 2021, it added. However, exports grew by 73.6 per cent at 6,971 units over 4,016 units in the year-ago month. "The year has been challenging on the supply side, customer interest has been strong specially in the festive period. The higher purchasing power of the customers is driving interest towards aspirational products," Nissan Motor India Managing Director Rakesh Srivastava said.
Nissan Motor India on Tuesday said its total wholesales increased by 45 per cent to 10,011 units in October as compared to the same month last year. The company had dispatched a total of 6,917 units in October 2021. Last month the automaker sold 3,061 units in the domestic market and also exported 6,950 units, Nissan Motor India said in a statement. The company had dispatched 3,913 and 3,004 units in the domestic and international markets, respectively, last October. "Festive season has strong momentum of increased number of deliveries, with customer preference for early delivery and ease of finance. Preference of customers was for SUVs specially amongst the first time and replacement buyers," Nissan Motor India Managing Director Rakesh Srivastava noted. The company is confident that demand will continue to rise with an improvement in economic growth, customer sentiment and with improvement in supply, he added.

Nissan Motor India on Saturday reported a 16.64 per cent decline in sales at 7,265 units in September 2022. The company had clocked wholesales of 8,716 units in the same month last year. Domestic wholesale last month stood at 3,177 units as compared to 2,816 units in September 2021, Nissan Motor India said in a statement. Exports were at 4,088 units as against 5,900 units in the year-ago month, it added. "The festive season has contributed to an increase in demand for the Nissan Magnite across markets on the strength of its value proposition. We are hopeful the momentum will continue with improvement in supply and customer sentiments," Nissan Motor India Managing Director Rakesh Srivastava said.
