Tata Power on Thursday said it has raised Rs 1,000 crore through the issuance of non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis. In a regulatory filing, the company said it has allotted 10,000 unsecured, redeemable, taxable, listed, rated, Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) worth Rs 1,000 crore, on private placement basis. The maturity of Series I NCDs worth Rs 500 crore is scheduled on January 8, 2030 while the Series II NCDs worth Rs 500 crore would mature on December 29, 2032, it added. The NCDs would be listed on BSE.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), which runs the aerodrome here, plans to raise Rs 1,250 crore through non-convertible debentures to be used for prepaying the USD bonds maturing in April 2024 or February 2026, rating agency India Ratings & Research has said. GHIAL (excluding subsidiaries) had a debt of Rs 7,050 crore as on September 30, 2022 which consisted of bonds of USD 950 million. The USD bonds have bullet maturities in April 2024, February 2026 and October 2027, the rating agency said. "The proposed INR 12,500 million (Rs 1,250 crore) NCDs will be entirely used for prepaying the bonds maturing in April 2024 or February 2026. Depending on the cash accruals, refinancing of the debt is likely to be required in April 2024," it said while assigning "IND AA/Stable" rating to the proposed bonds. State-owned power giant NTPC on Friday said its board will consider a proposal to raise up to Rs 12,000 crore through the issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on July 29.

"We wish to submit that GMR Infrastructure Ltd has not raised any funds from Tata-GIC," the company said.
Non-banking lender L&T Finance is raising up to Rs 1,500 crore through a bond sale, the proceeds of which will be used for on-lending and refinancing of existing debt. The base size of the issue is Rs 500 crore, with an option to retain over-subscription of up to Rs 1,000 crore, the company said on Wednesday. "The proceeds from the issue will be utilized for onward lending, financing, refinancing our existing debt and for general corporate purposes," the company said.
