Infosys spat: Murthy takes battle to investors today to explain his stand

Infosys founder N R Narayana Murthy has begun reaching out investors to explain his stand on the public battle with Infosys board and the management that led to the resignation of its first non-founder chief executive Vishal Sikka.The Bengaluru-based software major is the most liquid stock on the bourses, with institutional investors holding of over 64.17 per cent. While Indian investors, with LIC has a major shareholder has 9.63 per cent, Foreign Institutional Investors hold over 54.54 per cent stake in the company that saw its stock battered ever since the public fallout last Friday. The Infosys board and Murthy have drawn battle lines, each holding ground on their stand, even as the controversy has hit investors sentiments and employee morale in the company.
