Goa govt ready to hand over Sonali Phogat case to CBI, if required: Sawant

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday said his government is ready to hand over the case of death of BJP leader Sonali Phogat to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), if required. Phogat (43), a former Tik Tok star from Hisar in Haryana and contestant on the reality TV show "Big Boss", was brought dead to a hospital in North Goa August 23, a day after arrival in the coastal state. The state police have so far arrested five people in connection with the case. These include two associates of Phogat who have been charged with murder. Talking to reporters in Panaji, Sawant said Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has already spoken to him requesting for a detailed investigation into the case. Haryana will write to Goa for recommending CBI into Sonali Phogat's death

The Haryana government will write to the Goa government requesting it to recommend a CBI probe into the death of BJP leader Sonali Phogat, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar assured her family members on Saturday. Family members of Phogat met Khattar at his residence here Saturday evening and requested for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into her death. Khattar assured the family that his government will write to the Goa government in this regard, according to an official statement. During the meeting, the chief minister expressed grief over the sudden demise of Phogat. "The government is firmly standing with the family in this sensitive time and the government will take every possible step to ensure justice in this case," he said. Haryana govt committed to provide better health facilities: CM Khattar

The number of doctors will be raised from 13,000 at present to 28,000 in Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday asserting that the state government is committed to provide better health facilities to its citizens. Lumpy skin disease: Khattar orders vaccination of cows, cattles on priority

Amid the spread of lumpy skin disease in Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday directed the officials to work on a mission mode "just like the state did during Covid times". He directed Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal to procure available vaccination and inoculate all cows and cattle on a war footing, besides monitoring the situation on a daily basis. The minister also said he will speak with the Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala and seek more vaccine doses to the state at the earliest. Haryana CM Khattar launches 'smart e-beat' system for Gurugram police

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Monday launched an app-based system for police attendance and real time monitoring of patrolling by personnel in Gurugram. The CM launched the 'Smart E-Beat' system at an event at the office of Commissioner of Police here and flagged off 119 motorcycle police riders connected with it. Khattar said this app-based system has been introduced in Gurugram under the 'Smart Policing Initiative' (SPI) and it will help these policemen to mark their attendance, and in monitoring of their rides. This also means the beat system has been digitised, he said. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday announced a scholarship of Rs 20,000 per month for two years to Anjali Yadav, who topped the CBSE exam with 100 per cent marks.
