NHAI suspends key personnel of L&T, AECOM after Dwarka Expressway mishap

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Sunday said it has suspended key personnel of developer Larsen & Toubro and supervision consultant AECOM after a portion of an under-construction elevated road on Dwarka expressway collapsed this morning. It said the personnel were suspended pending the outcome of investigation by an expert committee being constituted to probe the incident. A portion of an under-construction elevated road on the Dwarka Expressway collapsed here on Sunday morning, injuring three workers. "Authority has viewed the incident seriously and pending the outcome of the investigation by the committee, the concerned key personnel of the Contractor M/s L&T and Supervision Consultant M/s AECOM have been suspended as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of NHAI," the NHAI said in a statement. L&T bags multiple orders across business segments in domestic market

Infrastructure company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday said it has received multiple orders across its business segments in the domestic market. The company did not provide the value of the contracts but said the orders fall under the "significant" category, which ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore according to the classification of contracts. The construction arm of L&T has secured orders for two of its businesses, L&T said in a regulatory filing. The company said its water and effluent treatment business has secured EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) orders from the rural water supply and sanitation department, Odisha to execute individual rural water supply projects in the Kendrapada and Khorda Districts of Odisha. The business has also secured a repeat order from the water resources department of Odisha. L&T bags large contracts in power biz, ranging between Rs 2,500-5,000 cr

Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said its power transmission and distribution business has bagged large domestic and overseas contracts across its spectrum of offerings. Though the company did not specify the exact value of the contracts, as per its specification a large contract ranges between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. The Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business of Larsen & Toubro has secured two engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) orders to establish more than 400 MW solar photovoltaic projects in Gujarat, the company said in a statement. L&T bags up to Rs 2,500-crore contract for Mumbai Ahmedabad bullet train

Infrastructure company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Friday said it has received an up to Rs 2,500-crore contract for Mumbai-Ahmedabad high speed rail corridor project. "The heavy civil infrastructure business of L&T Construction has secured a significant contract from two packages of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor," L&T said in a regulatory filing. The company did not provide value of the contracts but said the orders fall under "significant" category which range between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore as per its classification of contracts. The order is to procure, fabricate, assemble, paint and transport 28 bridges, the company added. L&T said the project was secured through a consortium of L&T and IHI Infrastructure Systems (IIS) of Japan. Shares of L&T were trading 0.56 per cent lower at Rs 1,337.45 apiece on BSE.

L&T construction arm bags orders worth up to Rs 5,000 cr in Bangladesh

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday said its construction arm has bagged orders worth up to Rs 5,000 crore in Bangladesh. The power transmission and distribution business of Larsen & Toubro has won a slew of transmission line orders in Bangladesh, the company said in a regulatory filing. The engineering and construction company did not provide the exact value of the contract, but as per its project classification, "large" orders are those valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. The scope of these packages involves design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of extra high voltage transmission lines on turnkey basis, the company added. "As Bangladesh aims to achieve universal electricity access this year, the enhancement of power transfer capacity will improve the reliability and efficiency of the country's grid and facilitate integrated development of its capital and the economic growth centres.
