L&T's construction arm bags contract for Navi Mumbai International Airport

Infrastructure major L&T on Tuesday said its construction arm has bagged the contract for construction of the Navi Mumbai International Airport. The company did not provide value of the contracts but said the orders fall under "major" category which ranges between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 7,000 crore as per its classification of contracts. "The transportation infrastructure and buildings and factories businesses of L&T Construction have secured a prestigious project from the Navi Mumbai International Airport Private Ltd (NMIAPL) for the engineering, procurement and construction of the greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport at Navi Mumbai," L&T said in a regulatory filing. The passenger terminal building is being developed to initially handle a capacity of 10 MPA (million passengers per annum). L&T Construction bags orders worth Rs 18.81 bn from India, Kuwait, Egypt

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Monday said the power transmission and distribution business of its arm L&T Construction has bagged orders worth Rs 1,881 crore in the domestic and international markets. "The business has secured major orders for constructing 22 132/11kV substations in Kuwait," the engineering and construction major said in a BSE filing. Additional orders have been received from ongoing transmission line projects in India and Egypt, it added. The company said it has also received orders for implementation of a high voltage distribution system in the semi-urban and rural areas of Kharagpur and Midnapur in West Bengal. Shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,227.30 apiece, down 0.16 per cent, from the previous close on BSE.

L&T construction bags order worth Rs 30 bn in Andhra Pradesh, Oman

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said its construction arm has won orders worth Rs 3,000 crore to build office buildings in Andhra Pradesh and a tourism-related facility in Oman. "The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth Rs 3,000 crore in the buildings and factories business, the company said in a BSE filing. L&T said it has received an order from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) for the engineering, procurement and construction of Head of Department (HoD) office buildings at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. The company has also secured an order from a client for the construction of a tourism-related facility in Muscat, Oman. "The scope includes structure, architectural finishes, MEP services and extensive landscaping and external development," it added. Shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,292.75 apiece, down 0.54 per cent, from the previous close on the BSE.

L&T Construction secures two major orders worth Rs 57.04 billion

Larsen & Toubro's construction arm has won orders worth Rs 5,704 crore in domestic market. "The water and effluent treatment business of L&T Construction has secured orders worth Rs 5,704 crore," the engineering and construction major said in a BSE filing. L&T said it has won two major orders from the Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA), government of Madhya Pradesh, for execution of Indira Sagar Project- Parwati phases I and II and Kalisindh phase I Micro Lift Irrigation Schemes. The company has also received an EPC order from the Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam Maryadit for execution of Buxwaha Multi Village Rural Water Supply Scheme. L&T shares were trading at Rs 1,358.25 apiece, up 1.08 per cent, from the previous close on the BSE.

L&T construction bags Rs 43.53 bn orders in transmission & distribution biz

Engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said its construction arm has bagged contracts worth Rs 4,353 crore in its power transmission and distribution business in both domestic and international markets. L&T Construction has bagged an order from Sonelgaz group for the turnkey construction of a 220/60 kV Air Insulated Substation in Draa Errich in Algeria, the company said in a statement issued here. "The substation will be a key component of the power infrastructure for the newly developed urban center of Draa Errich," the company said. A contract has been awarded by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company for the turnkey construction of 220kV overhead transmission lines to interconnect the substations of North Hurghada and El Qusair to the 220 kV grid. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said that its construction arm has recently bagged orders worth Rs 1,725 crore across two of its business segments. In the transportation infrastructure business, the company bagged contracts worth Rs 725 crore. "An engineering, procurement and construction order has been secured from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MORTH) for four-laning of the Wadpale to Bhogaon Khurd section of NH-17 in Maharashtra," the company said in a statement. The scope of work includes construction of 38.76 km of four lane dual carriageway with concrete pavement, 27.53 km of service/slip road, two major bridges, nine minor bridges and 17 vehicular and cattle underpasses along with other associated works.
