Hyundai launches 'i20 N Line' in India starting at Rs 9.84 lakh

Hyundai Motor India Ltd on Thursday launched its motorsports inspired 'i20 N Line' priced between Rs 9.84 lakh and Rs 11.76 lakh (ex-showroom). Powered by a 1-litre turbo petrol engine delivering power of 88.3 kW, the Hyundai i20 N Line has been introduced in N6 and N8 variants, the company said in a statement. "As we continue to introduce globally advanced technologies and products to India, i20 N Line will epitomise our strong legacy and DNA into motorsport inspired styling and everyday excitement for all our customers," Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) Managing Director and CEO SS Kim said. Stating that HMIL is seeking to provide 'exclusive experiences' to its customers with the i20 N Line, he said, "to amplify these experiences, i20 N Line will be available in 188 Signature Dealerships across India." Hyundai Motor India receives over 11,000 bookings for Alcazar model

Hyundai Motor India on Monday said it has received over 11,000 bookings for its recently launched model Alcazar. Launched less than a month ago, the premium SUV has already garnered over 11 000 bookings, the auto major said in a statement. "This superlative response showcases our customer's affinity towards a high value, versatile and premium package that Hyundai Alcazar epitomizes perfectly," Hyundai Motor India Director (Sales, Marketing and Service) Tarun Garg said. The company has already delivered over 5,600 units of the model in the market, he added. "With the addition of this 6 and 7-seater SUV to our line up, we are now offering our valued Indian customers a stellar range of multiple SUVs which will help us to further fortify our SUV leadership in India," Garg noted. Hyundai India total dispatches increase to 54,474 units in June

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Thursday reported total sales of 54,474 units in June, up 77 per cent from 30,703 units in May, recovering from disruptions induced by the second wave of COVID-19. The automaker's domestic dispatches to its dealerships stood at 40,496 units last month, as compared to 25,001 units in May this year, the automaker said in a statement. Exports rose to 13,978 units in June, as against 5,702 units in May, it added. "With markets opening up and improvement in customer sentiments, the company is committed to deliver innovative and world class quality products and services meeting and exceeding customers aspirations," HMIL Director (Sales, Marketing & Service) Tarun Garg noted. The newly launched model Alcazar, has been receiving tremendous customer response setting some new benchmarks in the industry, he added.

Auto major Hyundai crosses 1 million sales mark for SUVs made in India

South Korean auto major Hyundai on Monday said it has crossed 10 lakh cumulative sales milestone of SUVs made in India. These SUVs have been sold both in India and export markets, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said in a statement. The launch of mid-sized SUV Creta in 2015 accelerated Hyundai Motor India's growth in the segment with cumulative sales of over 5.9 lakh units in the domestic market and over 2.2 lakh units in the export market, it added. Similarly, the company had introduced compact SUV Venue in 2019 and has already sold over 1.8 lakh units in the domestic market, it added. Hyundai sales jump 26% in February at 61,800 units, domestic sale up 29%

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Monday reported a 26.4 per cent increase in total sales at 61,800 units in February. The company had sold 48,910 units in the same month last year, HMIL said in a statement. Domestic sales were up 29 per cent to 51,600 units as against 40,010 units in February 2020, the company added. Exports increased by 14.6 per cent to 10, 200 units in February as compared with 8,900 units in the same month of 2020. "The company has been consistently striving to drive a resurgence in sales, thereby contributing towards economic recovery and bringing the industry closer to pre-Covid level sales. With a cumulative sales of 61 800 units in February 2021, Hyundai has recorded growth across segments," HMIL Director (Sales, Marketing & Service) Tarun Garg said. Both domestic and export demand have recorded healthy double digit growth last month, reflecting an all-round improvement in buyer sentiment, he added.
