State administrative service base of good governance: Rajasthan minister

Rajasthan Education Minister B D Kalla on Saturday said the state administrative service is the backbone of the administration and base of good governance. He described the contributions of the state administrative service as important in realizing the dream of making Rajasthan a 'Model State'. Kalla was addressing the 16th convention of All India Federation of State Civil/Administrative Service Officers here attended by the officers from different parts of the country. The minister stressed the need for providing foreign training programmes, exposure visits and promotion opportunities to state administrative services officers on the lines of IAS officers and assured to take up these issues before the chief minister. Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat said the responsibility of improving the future of the common man lies on the shoulders of the administrative officers of the state. Centre creating ecosystem to benefit each of 140 crore Indians: NCGG chief

The Centre is creating an ecosystem where each of 140 crore Indians can take benefit of government policies, chief of National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) Bharat Lal said on Sunday. He said any public policy in the absence of the right kind of governance is not going to achieve its objective and in today's era if it is not mixed with innovation, it is next to impossible to meet the intended goal. Lal said, in public policy, one has to be very clear about the goal, objective, and collaterals and "we have to see that everybody is benefited". "And today, the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is creating this kind of ecosystem and opportunities, where each of 140 crore Indians can take benefit," he said. Delivering the keynote address on 'Public Policy, Governance & Innovation' at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, Lal said in the last eight and half years, attempts for universalisation of various services like drinking water, .

5.38 mn public grievances redressed during good governance week: Centre

As many as 53.8 lakh public grievances were redressed during the recently concluded good governance week, the Centre said on Tuesday. The government celebrated the second 'Sushasan Saptah' (good governance week) between December 19 and 25. The Sushasan Saptah witnessed a nationwide campaign for redressal of public grievances and improving service delivery, according to a statement issued by the Personnel Ministry. Prashasan Gaon ki Ore 2022 has witnessed significant progress 53.8 lakh public grievances were redressed, 310 lakh service delivery applications were disposed and 949 innovations in governance were documented. Prashasan Gaon ki Ore (governance towards village) was the theme of the week. On December 23, district-level workshops were held in all 768 districts to deliberate on innovations and vision India@2047.
