AAP govt improved condition of night shelters in Delhi: CM Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said his government has improved the condition of night shelters in the national Capital.Addressing the media he said that Aam Aadmai Party (AAP) government has paid attention to the maintenance of night shelters ever since it came to power."Before we came to power, the court used to scold the Delhi government for the arrangement in night shelters. After our government came, we paid attention to the rain shelter from the beginning. Delhi records minimum temperature of 26.5 deg C; light rain likely

The Meteorological (MeT) Department has forecast generally cloudy sky with light rain in Delhi on Thursday. While the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature is expected to settle around 35 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The relative humidity at 8.30 am was 78 per cent. The weather department has predicted light to heavy rainfall in Delhi over the next three to four days. It had earlier said that Delhi is likely to receive normal rainfall -- 95 to 106 per cent of the long-period average -- in August. Notably, the national capital had witnessed uncharacteristically heavy rainfall and an irregular weather pattern in July. The air quality in the city was recorded in the "satisfactory" category. The air quality index (AQI) was 93 at 8.05 am, real-time data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed. Delhi govt approves continuation of free Wi-Fi scheme in the city

The Delhi cabinet on Tuesday approved the continuation of the free Wi-Fi scheme in the city. According to an official statement, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has so far set up Wi-Fi hotspots at 10,561 places in the national capital. Delhi is the first city in the world where the government has provided free Wi-Fi for the entire city "On Tuesday, the Delhi cabinet approved a proposal to implement free Wi-Fi scheme for providing quality internet services to the citizens of Delhi after a successful implementation in the first year. "The Kejriwal government has so far set up hotspots at 10,561 places in the capital.
