The Congress Friday accused the BJP and RSS of giving communal colour to the alleged rape and murder of two Dalit sisters in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri and demanded that justice delivery in the case be fast-tracked. The Opposition party also demanded the Narendra Modi government should implement the SC/ST Act with "full force". BJP to organise 'unity in diversity' festivals during PM's bday celebration

The BJP will organise "unity in diversity" festivals, a blood donation drive and a cleanliness drive across the country as part of its fortnight-long "seva" campaign to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on Saturday. According to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Arun Singh, the campaign will be launched on Modi's birthday on September 17 and conclude on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here on Friday, Singh said the primary objective of the fortnight-long campaign is to "reach out to the poor and downtrodden and improve their quality of life". As part of the campaign, the workers of the saffron party will organise "unity in diversity" festivals in all districts and send out the message of "Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat" (One India, Great India) to people. Centre should do good things instead of harassing people with CBI: Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said he has failed to understand what the liquor scam was about, and advised the Centre to do positive things for progress of the country instead of "harassing" everyone with CBI and ED. His remarks came amid raids by the Enforcement Directorate at 40 locations across the country in connection with alleged irregularities in implementation of Excise Policy 2021-22 of the AAP government in Delhi. How can it be a scam of Rs 1.5 lakh crore when the whole budget of Delhi is Rs 70,000 crore only? Gujarat polls: Cong announces several pre-poll 'guarantees' for fishermen

The BJP is firm on its seat-sharing agreement with the ruling NDPP for next year's assembly elections, a senior leader of the saffron party has said. Punjab Police registers FIR over AAP charge of BJP trying to bribe its MLAs

The Punjab Police on Wednesday registered a case after the ruling AAP complained to the state DGP, accusing the BJP of an attempt to poach its MLAs. No oppn party in Goa left with enough MLAs to stake claim for LoP post
