Amazon Prime Video signs exclusive content deal with Salman Khan Ventures

Online video streaming platform from American e-commerce giant Amazon - Amazon Prime Video announced its worldwide exclusive content deal with Salman Khan Ventures. This deal makes Amazon Prime Video the exclusive streaming home of future titles of Salman Khan commencing with the recently released Tubelight. All films from Salman Khan Ventures released after Tubelight will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video first, straight after the theatrical release and two months before satellite/television broadcast or any other form of distribution. Apart from the new releases, existing blockbuster titles like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, Jai Ho and Hero will also be available on Amazon Prime Video. Before this, Khan had an exclusive telecast deal for TV with Star India. The four year deal included 8 titles releases between 2013 and 2016 (both years included) and was valued at Rs 400 crore.
