India recorded the biggest-ever medal haul in the Asian Games 2023. India broke its last record of winning 70 medals in the Asian Games 2018, and now India is eyeing to cross the 100 mark.

India is currently in fourth spot after China, Japan and South Korea. India has won 16 golds, 26 silvers, and 29 bronze medals, taking the total mark to 71.

India sent a 655-member contingent to the 19th Asian Games that began on September 23 and will conclude on October 8, 2023.

Over the years, India has won 672 medals, and most of the medals came in the athletics category. India, for the first time, sent its cricket team to the Asian Games, and the Indian women's cricket team clinched a gold medal after defeating Sri Lanka by 19 runs. Now, the Men's Cricket team is also looking to bag a gold medal.

China is leading the Asian Games medal tally with 297 with 161 golds.
