At closing bell, the Straits Times Index (STI) index inclined 34.17 points, or 1.09%, to 3,173.93 after trading between 3,157.81 and 3,186.69. Volume was 1.34 billion shares worth S$967.47 million changed hands. There were 319 gainers and 234 decliners. 


Singapore Market gains on easing banking contagion fears


At closing bell, the benchmark Hang Seng Index advanced 258.05 points, or 1.36%, to 19,258.76. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index inclined 80.13 points, or 1.24%, to 6,549.78.


Hong Kong Markets rebounds 1.4%


At close of trade, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.64%, or 20.74 points, to 3,255.65. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 1.57%, or 32.33 points, to 2,085.98. The blue-chip CSI300 index advanced 1.1%, or 43.30 points, to 3,982.38.
