Quick Wrap: Nifty MNC Index records a surge of 2.70%, NIFTY climbs 1.13%

Nifty MNC index ended up 2.70% at 18428.15 today. The index has added 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd jumped 8.73%, ABB India Ltd added 6.44% and Honeywell Automation India Ltd rose 5.47%. The Nifty MNC index has increased 5.00% over last one year compared to the 1.08% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty FMCG index increased 2.64% and Nifty Consumption index added 2.62% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 1.13% to close at 15989.8 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 1.16% to close at 53750.97 today.
