Quick Wrap: Nifty Energy Index rises 2.01%

Nifty Energy index closed up 2.01% at 25968.65 today. The index is down 9.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Adani Green Energy Ltd gained 4.19%, Adani Transmission Ltd added 3.46% and Reliance Industries Ltd rose 3.45%. The Nifty Energy index is up 28.00% over last one year compared to the 6.75% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index added 1.82% and Nifty Commodities index gained 1.16% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.64% to close at 16628 while the SENSEX added 0.79% to close at 55818.11 today.
