Bata India slips 1% after nearly 3% equity changes hands via block deals

Shares of Bata India were down 1 per cent at Rs 1,856.65 on the BSE in Wednesday’s intra-day trade after nearly 3 per cent of the company's total equity changed hands via block deals.

The stock hit a high of Rs 1,898.40, after opening at Rs 1,880. In comparison, at 09:25 am, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 0.26 per cent at 55,709 points.
