The Supreme Court on Friday came down heavily on suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma for her controversial comments against the Prophet, saying her "loose tongue" has "set the entire country on fire" and asked her to immediately apologise to the nation for her remarks.

The Supreme Court said, "When you lodge a complaint against someone, that person is arrested but nobody dares to touch you that shows your clout".

Hearing the plea of Nupur Sharma, the Supreme Court said that she has "threatened the security of the nation and must apologise".

Nupur Sharma had moved SC seeking a transfer
