Retail deposits of the private sector major rose by Rs 53,000 crore during the quarter

Tata Motors on Friday reported an 8 per cent year-on-year increase in group global wholesales, including that of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), at 3,61,361 units in the fourth quarter of FY23.
Global wholesales of all Tata Motors' commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in the January-March period this year stood at 1,18,321 units, up 3 per cent over the same period of FY22, Tata Motors said in a statement.
Dispatches of all passenger vehicles in the fourth quarter increased 10 per cent to 1,35,654 units over the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, it said.
Global sales of JLR stood at 1,07,386 vehicles in the March quarter, which comprised 15,499 units of Jaguar and 91,887 units of Land Rover, it said.

Realty firm Macrotech Developers' sales bookings rose 34 per cent to a record Rs 12,064 crore in the last fiscal, on better demand despite rise in interest rates on home loans.
Mumbai-based Macrotech Developers, which sells homes under the Lodha brand, is one of the leading real estate firms in the country.
In a regulatory filing, Macrotech Developers said it has delivered a strong pre-sales momentum with sales bookings of Rs 3,025 crore in the fourth quarter of last fiscal and Rs 12,064 crore for 2022-23 fiscal.
The company said it has surpassed the full-year guidance of Rs 11,500 crore.
The collections of money from customers stood at Rs 10,606 crore for FY23, up 23 per cent YoY (year-on-year).
Net debt has further reduced to Rs 7,071 crore, showing a decline of Rs 2,229 crore for the year.

Lok Sabha on Friday cleared changes in the Finance Bill to pave the way for setting up of an appellate tribunal for resolution of disputes under GST.
Currently, taxpayers are filing writ petitions before high courts in the absence of the appellate tribunal.
As per the amendments proposed in the Finance Bill 2023, which was passed by Lok Sabha on Friday, benches of the GST Appellate Tribunal would be set up in every state while there will be a principal bench in Delhi which will hear appeals related to 'place of supply'.
Even after more than five years of implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the appellate tribunal has not been set up. As a result, unresolved legal matters under GST have accumulated.
